I just talked with Jim via satellite phone. They arrived safely in Port-au-Prince and had two trucks waiting to carry them and their medical supplies to Karen's house where they are setting up a clinic. Karen still has a partial wall up and can offer some level of organization and protection for the clinic. Jim was at a loss of words to describe the total destruction and need there. It is so great that they are a bit overwhelmed on where to even begin assisting. They are already seeing patients even though they have not set the clinic up. Then on to the school and orphanage.
Jim said that despite the utter chaos and devastation around him, he has never felt such peace and protection knowing that God is in control. He said he is sure that is because of your continuous prayers and asked me to again thank you. He was amazed and teary when I told him we are starting to double up the circle on the prayer chain. Know that your prayers are working. Let's keep signing up prayer warriors for every hour so that Satan knows we mean business!
