Update report from El Shaddai and Dessources

Following is an email received from Marie Prinvil, another Christian Light Missionary in Haiti. They are located in the hills outside of the city. I thought you might want to see glimpses of light in Haiti also. How beautiful to see their heart of God in the midst of this crisis. Donna

Greetings in the name of our most precious Lord & Savior Jesus Christ,

We are so encouraged by the outpouring of love toward El Shaddai. Your love will keep us going and going. We will continue to work for the Lord. Right after prayer this morning we had another aftershock. Everyone responded very quickly and got to safety. Then the mayor's office called for more medical supplies. As always our storage room seems to keep on producing so we were able to send another suitcase to them. We have 25 missionaries here that are out on the field at this time in three different sites to help with medical needs and relief as possible. They are using the home as a resting place each evening. We are very grateful to be able to serve the Lord in this capacity. We also praise God that the Lord is using Dessources.

The children are doing very well. They are handling things with joy. Some of the workers have lost their homes, but are still in good spirits and serving the Lord here at El Shaddai with gladness. They have been a great help receiving all the people who have come.

Food continues to be an issue in Haiti, but the Lord has been gracious to us at El Shaddai (thank you Pastor Ron for the canned chicken). We continue to praise Him for every meal we have.

Most of you know the houses in this area are made of sticks and mud. Most are bent over and damaged and it was a miracle that the Lord's hand was on them. We are praying for God to show us how we can help the people in Dessources to have better houses. Bertin is working now to draw up a plan for a simple but soundly built two-room home. He is also checking on material and prices. As the funds come in, we are in hopes of helping the economy here in Dessources by getting Haitian workers to build the homes as well. Please pray with us as we begin this project. May the Lord lead and guide every step. We will send more details as the Lord opens the door.

Funds have come in for us to purchase rice. We have been able to purchase enough at this time to do a distribution to Dessources and possibly other areas as the rice last.

Every night we are having a praise service inside the walls of El Shaddai. Many people come and the place is packed. The people here are very thankful to be alive but they still are carrying fear in their hearts. Their hearts continue to palpitate rapidly. The Christians in Dessources are taking it very well and continue to give praise to God.

We are overwhelmed at the response of all the people. Many have contacted us to see how they can help. We are truly blessed of the Lord. Thank you so much for all you are doing and most of all for your continued prayers.

Love you, love you, love you, love you!!!!!! Marie & Elizabeth
